Successful completion of one of Saudi's largest concrete pours

IN November, Saudi Readymix completed one and a half days continuous ready-mixed concrete supply being poured into the 4.5m-deep raft foundation of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) Tower located at the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh. It was one of the largest concrete pours to take place in the country. Saudi Readymix supplied 11,500m~3 of concrete in a continuous flow of mobile truck mixers, arriving on-site at an average of one every 90 seconds. The company used seven of its plants located in different areas in Riyadh, including its factory on the project site; 150 truck mixers were mobilised to handle the pouring. Although the estimated time to execute the task was 42 hours, it was completed smoothly and in only 36 hours.
