La Vista del Mar Condominium, located beachfront in Cocoa Beach, FL, was experiencing corrosion-related damage that had progressed to the point where structural integrity and safety were a concern. The condominium was built in 1966 and consists of two two-story buildings. The west building was built of precast, hollow-core planks and concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction whereas the east building was precast, prestressed double-tee planks and CMU construction.
