Dissertation: The formation of the mineral thaumasite resulting from sulfate attack on concrete

摘要

Concrete can be destroyed by the impact of dissolved sulfates. Apart from both well-known damaging minerals ettringite and gypsum, in the recent past thaumasite was identified as a third damaging mineral. The formation of thaumasite leads to a dissolving of the strength forming CSH phases.%Beton kann durch die Einwirkung von gelösten Sulfaten zerstört werden. Neben den beiden bekannten Schadmineralen Ettringit und Gips wurde in jüngster Zeit Thaumasit als drittes Schadmineral identifiziert. Die Bildung von Thaumasit führt zu einer Auflösung der festigkeitsbildenden C-S-H-Phasen.
