With the joint sealant Rib Strip SX 1, StekoX GmbH based in Magstadt (German) expands its product range by a versatile product that is used for the post-construction sealing of expansion joints. The distinctively shaped hollow compression strip was developed on the basis of EPDM (ethylene propyl-ene diene monomer). The special shape, which resembles a human ribcage, allows a quick and easy installation and causes the strip to be jammed securely in the joint. The properties and structure of the strip prevents the same from being pushed out of the joint as a result of back pressure from the in-situ water.%Mit dem Fugenklemmprofil SX 1 erweitert die Magstadter StekoX GmbH ihr Angebot um ein vielseitig einsetzbares Produkt, das zur nachträglichen Abdichtung von Bewegungsfugen verwendet wird. Das charakteristisch geformte Hohlkammer-Kompressionsprofil wurde auf EPDM-Basis (Ethylen-Propy-len-Dien-Monomer) entwickelt. Die spezielle Form, die an einen menschlichen Brustkorb erinnert, macht den Einbau schnell und einfach und sorgt für eine sichere Verklemmung des Profils in der Fuge. Die Beschaffenheit des Profils verhindert ein Herausschieben durch rückwärtig anstehenden Wasserdruck.
