Early July 2014, Friedrich Gebhart was elected president by the members of Fachverband Beton- und Fertigteilwerke Baden-Wuerttemberg (Baden-Wuerttemberg Association of Concrete and Precast Plants -FBF). In an interview with the BFT editor, the new man at the head of one of the most important associations of the German precast industry talked about the objectives he pursues. BFT International: Dear Mr. Gebhart, congratulations on the electoral success. Why did you run for the office? Gebhart: Our company has been an active member of the association since its foundation, and I have been active on the board for some time now. Thus, it seemed likely that I get even more involved. For quite some time, the resigning president, Harald Sommer, has moreover expressed the wish to pass on the baton to a younger person.
