The book "Betonprüfung kompakt," published by Bau und Technik, in Erkrath, shows more than 30 concrete test methods in compact and concise presentation. The book, with 146 pages, is a continuation of "Baustoffprüfungen," an earlier manual and training publication on materials testing - the second edition of which, according to the publisher, is now out of stock. The new edition, moreover, contains additional important construction materials tests. The authors Dipl.-Ing. Uwe P. Zimmer and Dipl.-Ing. M. Eng. Hans-Heinrich Reuter, in describing the tests, take account of the many changes that have resulted from basic revisions in European construction materials standards and from the relevant changes in test standards for cement and aggregate - as well as for the field of concrete and reinforced-concrete construction.
