The INTEGER partnership is an action research network promoting the use of intelligent (use of information) and green (use of resources) innovation in buildings to achieve wide-ranging improvements in performance and value. It was launched in 1996 to challenge conventional building practices in order to create mainstream housing which is high-quality, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable. The INTEGER Hong Kong Pavilion was built two years ago at the invitation of the UK and Hong Kong Governments to assist in a programme to promote innovation in housing through intelligent and environmental technologies. The strikingly designed Pavilion was constructed in the heart of Hong Kong's central business district on the famous Tamar waterfront site.
