摘要

Teaching Literature with Digital Technology Assignments is a collection of assignments utilizing technology in a college level literature classroom. Editor Tim Hetland collected and organized assignments according to topics including social media, digital tools, podcasts, multimodalities, and archives. Each topic section includes an assortment of assignments using technology in creative ways to reach out to technologically-savvy college students. Each assignment is a useful blend of expert content with a technological flair appealing to today's college students who may find themselves fully immersed in digital tools and technological advances. Thus the text is user friendly as topic and assignment summaries can easily be found in both the table of contents as well as at the beginning of each chapter. Each assignment section lists the author, and a short summary of what can be found in the assignment. Furthermore, within each assignment an author biography can be found followed by an overview of the assignment, goals of the assignment, assignment sheet, needs and technology, anticipation of student needs, assessment tools, the theoretical basis for the assignment and a concluding section. As a result, the text is conveniently structured as an instructor resource for quick access to topics of interest.
