Tone 2 RayBlaster Synthesizer Plug-In with Impulse Modeling Synthesis

The RayBlaster plug-in from German software company, Tone 2, uses psychoacoustic principles to create unique, new sound possibilities. It uses Impulse Modeling Synthesis, which is based on the way the human ear works. The short-time energy distribution of the signal is modeled precisely to take advantage of the way the nerves in the inner ear trigger impulses to the brain to detect the phase of partials. One of the main selling points of this type of synthesis, according to the developer, is high, clear sound quality across the spectrum, including for very low bass frequencies and dense spectra. The RayBlaster oscillators support 65,526 times oversampling and they can play frequencies as low as 0.25 Hz, without losing treble-range frequencies.
