摘要

It is now recognised that ageing implies a progressive decrease in physical ability leading to dependence (Monod-Zorzi et al. 2007). Timed up and go (TUG) test is a clinical evaluation examining people's functional mobility. It consists on rising from a chair, walking 3 m straight ahead, turning around and sitting down back. Despite the lack of a specific consensus, TUG duration higher than 12 or 16 s is usually considered as a sign of risk of fall in elderly people living in community dwelling (Beauchet et al. 2011).
