Man Sentenced to 30 Months for Selling Access to Botnets

The US Department of Justice recently announced that on September 6, 2012, Chief US District Judge Royce C. Lamberth in the District of Columbia sentenced Joshua Schichtel, 30, of Phoenix, to 30 months in prison for selling command-and-control access to and use of thousands of malware-infected computers.Judge Lamberth also ordered Schichtel to serve three years of supervised release.
