Adoption Levels and Investment Rates Related

As is quickly evident from examining Figure 1, adoption levels and current investment rates tend to be related. The technologies all fall close to the diagonal line stretching from the bottom corner of the low/low quadrant to the top corner of the high/high quadrant. This is partly because most of the technologies selected for our study have yet to reach maturity, and adoption stimulates further investment activity. Only a very mature technology would exhibit high-adoption and low-growth characteristics.
