New Blog Editor

Nearly two and a half years ago, I welcomed you to Computer Architecture Today as the founding editor. Today I bid my farewells. Creating a blog was the wonderful idea of the SIGARCH Executive Committee. It took six months and input from several individuals to arrive at a clear definition of what we wanted the blog to be, how it could best serve the community, and prepare for launch. In the end, we set out to provide a platform for a diverse set of topics and perspectives, not limited to narrowly defined technical computer architecture posts. There have been 133 posts by about 60 contributors, a pace that exceeds our initial expectations and is indicative of the active engagement of our community.
