IPhone gives me 'more fulfilling life'

I can assure Phil Cookson (Letters, Issue 410) that I don't have a boring life just because I have an iPhone. It may shock Mr Cookson, but I own an iPhone not because I have a gaping void at the centre of my life, but because it's one of the most amazing pieces of technology ever. Owning one doesn't mean I forget the "real life" I have. But it does mean I have an amazing device that helps me live a more fulfilling life. Mr Cookson seems thrilled that he can still make a phone call on his old Nokia. Well great. Hip hip hooray. But can he watch the iPlayer on it? Can he get GPS map directions? Can he talk to friends on Skype? No, he can't. That sounds pretty "boring", doesn't it?
