摘要

When I wrote "Notes of a Post-Sex Wars Theorizer" it was in 1991, a decade after the Barnard Conference.1 Thus from the get-go, I thought about the feminist sex wars not as a participant, but as a historical and theoretical scholar, a feminist, and an activist. I remember that in the early eighties, when I was an assistant professor at Dartmouth College, I was an anti-porn feminist, and that the publications of the Barnard Conference and the national debates about porn at the time, coupled with my own doubts-for example, I secretly knew that one of the reasons I conducted anti-porn workshops was that I was excited and titillated by the material-changed my thinking about porn.
