Nordicom's comprehensive volume, Towards a Better Internet for Children? Policy Pillars, Players, and Paradoxes, edited by O'Neill, Staksrud, and McLaughlin, provides much needed context and evidence for informing current discussions related to maximizing the potential of the Internet for the world's children. The volume includes contributions from members of the 33 countries that form the EU Kids Online network, an organization created in 2006 to monitor and analyze children's and parents' experiences of the Internet across Europe, with the goal of "strengthening knowledge about this fast-moving environment in order to inform policy on safer Internet practices".
