Volkswagen Caddy TGI

COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS has yet to take off in the UK, but in Europe CNG-powered vehicles are becoming increasingly popular. The updated Caddy TGI follows a long line of CNG models from Volkswagen, and uses a new 1.4-litre engine to meet Euro-6 emissions levels while producing 110hp and 200Nm of torque. Unfortunately, the Caddy TGI is only available in left-hand drive, but that decision may be changed in due course. That sticking point will hold it back on the scorecards for the UK and Ireland, but with the rest of Europe riding a wave of alternative fuels, the Caddy could well end up a winner.
