MARITIME companies in the United States are being targeted by cyber attackers yet the majority are unprepared to cope with the consequences of a data breach. A cyber security survey carried out by law firm Jones Walker LLP has confirmed that rapidly evolving technologies deployed throughout the US maritime industry to increase efficiencies and competitiveness present significant cyber security risks, which the industry is unprepared to shoulder.
