BIMCO calls for greater international cooperation

BIMCO has reiterated its call for international cooperation to counter piracy in the Gulf of Guinea, as attacks in the region continue unabated.Jakob P. Larsen, BIMCO Head of Maritime Security said in the light of IMB’s report, showing that piracy rose in 2018, the organisation is once again calling for international navies to deploy to the region of West Africa primarily, and to cooperate closely with law enforcement from the region.
