Since the rise of the semiautopistol, many shooters have lost track of some very significant improvements in revolvers. Today's revolvers are available in a bewildering array of frame sizes and calibers, offering more choices than ever before. Advances in metallurgy and use of new alloys have made wheelguns both stronger and lighter. Although I would stop short of categorizing some of the latest models as "high capacity," no longer do we have to settle for a sixgun. Seven, eight and even nine-shot revolvers are now available.
