The patrolman was responding to a "disturbance in progress" call. The cause of the disturbance was unknown, as were the number of subjects involved. Arriving on scene, it took only a moment to spot a suspicious person. A rough-looking man was shouting obscenities with his back to the officer. "Police, let me see your hands!" the patrolman shouted. Instead of complying, the man hesitated, his hands were in front of his body out of the officer's sight. When he did move, the suspect spun around to face the patrolman. In his right hand was a blue steel revolver. Now in fear for his life, the officer drew his GLOCK 22 and fired three shots as quickly as he could work the trigger. "That's good." The training sergeant called over the loud speaker from behind. The scenario had not played out on the street, but was a part of the shooting simulation training program offered by Laser Shot of Stafford, Texas.
