Monoazo disperse dyes from sulphur-containing heterocyclic amines: some developments

It is well established that the use of heterocyclic amines, especially those with sulphur as the pi-excess hetero atom as diazo component has a marked batho chromic effect compared to analogous dyes derived from benzenoid compounds. They are especially important in obtaining bright blue and greenish blue monoazo disperse dyes. These dyes are characterised by having generally excellent brightness and high extinction coefficients, relative to those derived from substituted anilines.
