Reduction in dyeing cost of decentralised processing sector by employing computer colour matching system

摘要

A 100% cotton woven fabric dyed with Light Brown, Green, Saffron (Bhagwa) and Coffee Brown shades have been collected from industry and the number of recipes were obtained with the help of Computer Colour Matching (CCM) to match these shades. The bulk dyeing of cotton fabric was carried out using the best three computer predicted recipes (R_1, R_2 & R_3) for matching at the shopfloor level. The dyeing obtained with the above recipes give good amount of savings in the cost of dyes with a significant improvement in rubbing fastness as well.
