Water Reuse in Textile Industry

Water is everybody's business and together we can make a difference. Recover your Resources, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle have been buzz words in industry and textile is no exception. The presentation covered wastewater treatment and environmental management encompassing applications of technology, process and case study benefiting industries not only by treating effluents and meeting compliance norms but also recycling water and recovering some of the constituents; technologies for municipal waste treatment, analogy systems apart from treating effluents and recovering water, but energy as well; air treatment not only on particle side but also gaseous side i.e. treating VOC and abatement of organic gaseous emission; sludge management as at the end of effluent treatment process (chemical or biological), treat waste with available technologies and convert waste into energy; and membrane technology for sea water desalination and recover water from different types of effluents and by-products.
