Macon Memories: An Oral History Project at Randolph-Macon College

Librarians at Randolph-Macon College's McGraw-Page Library initiated an oral history project to capture the memories of long-time faculty, staff, and alumni. This article describes the mission and development of the Macon Memories Oral History Project; reviews administrative, legal, and policy considerations surrounding research design, technology issues, preservation, description, and access; and outlines the procedures and resources necessary for initiating and maintaining an oral history project.
