PUBLISHING AND THE LAW: CURRENT LEGAL ISSUES

This book, which had a first edition in 2001, has not been substantially revised for 2013. This is unfortunate because, while publishing laws in general have not changed much, the technology that libraries use to access resources has changed dramatically. This book gathers the works of authors from across the legal profession to discuss four primary areas of interest in the publishing world including antitrust law, copyright law, taxes and torts, and constitutional law. Because the book delves into legal issues that are not relevant to the average collections librarian (or to the average librarian, in general), the time spent with the book, as a whole, should be limited in favor of consulting specific articles.
