The 1937 Pontiac didn't look that much different from the 936 model, but '37 was a year of change for the marque. The restyled bodies were all steel. Pontiac finally abandoned the old-fashioned steel-panel-over-wood-frame construction. Plus, Pontiac no longer shared General Motors's A-body shells with Chevrolet, switching to the larger GM "B" bodies shared with Oldsmobile, junior Buicks, LaSalle, and Cadillac Series 60.
