Ardmac awarded fit-out contract for catheter maker

Having worked for VistaMed several years ago, Ardmac has secured a cleanroom fit-out for the Helix Medical joint venture partner in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland. The investment, which is being supported by the Government through Enterprise Ireland, will see VistaMed expand its research and development activities to ensure continued growth in export sales and Irish employment and ultimately lead to the expansion of its manufacturing facilities in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. The 35,000ft~2 expansion of the facility includes a 12,000ft~2 cleanroom required to meet the growing need for diverse braided catheter assemblies as well as a new area dedicated to thermoplastic extrusion. In addition to the cleanroom fit-out package, Ardmac has been awarded an 8,000ft2 interior fit-out package.
