Vaisala releases new CO_2 probe

Vaisala, a leader in environmental and industrial measurement, has launched the CARBOCAP Carbon Dioxide Probe GMP231. Designed to provide incubator manufacturers with accurate and reliable CO_2 measurements and sterilisation durability at high temperatures, the GMP231 is based on Vaisala's patented CARBOCAP technology and features a new type of infra-red (IR) light source. Microglow represents next generation IR technology that solves many of the challenges that affect traditional IR sources or incandescent light bulbs, such as high temperature durability and limited lifetime.Vaisala says the GMP231 offers superior durability and allows for heat sterilisation temperatures of up to 18O℃. This enables easier and more complete sterilisation of the incubator with the probe in place, removing the need to decontaminate the probe separately.
