Quotient Clinical acquires second GMP manufacturing plant and builds new labs

UK-based Quotient Clinical is expanding its pharmaceutical sciences capabilities and doubling capacity with the acquisition of a second GMP manufacturing facility and construction of new formulation development and pharma analysis laboratories in Nottingham. The new laboratories have a footprint of around 8,000ft~2 (740m~2). The GMP manufacturing facility, comprising eight multipurpose suites, is located in the MediCity innovation hub in Nottingham, and has a footprint of 3,000ft~2 (280m~2). It will allow large-scale manufacture of drug products, with all the necessary containment controls to enable safe handling of high potency molecules. The facility is scheduled to become operational later this year following an MHRA inspection.
