Staff challenged 'to become the most sustainable company in the industry

MIELE is encouraging staff to become more environmentally friendly, inviting them all to pledge to make a change during its recent sustainability immersion day at Miele GB HQ in Oxford. Staff pledges ranged from sharing lifts to work, eating less meat and buying non disposable nappies. Miele has promised to plant trees in support of all the staff pledges made. During the immersion day, staff from both the domestic and professional team were brought up to speed on Miele's commitment to become the 'the most sustainable company in the industry'. Miele's 2019 Sustainability Report was unveiled to the team and staff were also briefed on all the latest innovations and initiatives from the organisation, including details on how it is working with McDonalds on grease and fat extraction for use as biofuel and its zero waste to landfill initiative, which sees all waste traced and accounted for.
