FIRST ELECTRIC PORT TRUCK ROLLS OFF ASSEMBLY LINE AT NEW FACTORY

The first factory to build battery powered heavy duty trucks was opened by its owner, Balqon Corporation, in Harbor City, California, just south of Los Angeles and near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, where the first trucks will operate in port operations. The zero emission, all-electric trucks are capable of hauling 30 ton shipping containers in and around the San Pedro Bay port complex.
