NISSAN RELEASES NEW FUGA HYBRID LUXURY SEDAN IN JAPAN

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. launched its latest hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), the Nissan Fuga Hybrid luxury sedan, in November at Nissan dealers throughout Japan. The new HEV achieves a fuel economy of 19.0 kilometers (km) per liter on the Japanese 10-15 mode test cycle, comparable to that of a compact car, while providing the driving performance of a luxury sedan. The Fuga Hybrid is equipped with Nissan's one motor, two clutch parallel hybrid system, called intelligent dual clutch control, which combines a number of advanced environmental technologies.
