LEXUS HYBRID LS 600H L LANDAULET OFFICIAL CAR AT MONACO WEDDING

Lexus, the luxury car division of Toyota Motor Corporation, modified its LS 600h L hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) to convert it into the official Royal Wedding car used during the marriage of Prince Albert II of Monaco in July. The unique LS 600h L Landaulet features a one-piece, transparent poly-carbonate roof. A Landaulet is a car body style with a convertible top for the backseat, with the front seat either roofed or open.Equipped with a hybrid electric drivetrain, the HEV generates significantly lower carbon dioxide, ni-trogen oxide and particulate emissions than any comparable car. During most of the driving during the wedding ceremony, the HEV operated in the all-electric mode, emitting no air pollution.
