AUDI E-GAS PLANT IN GERMANY REACHES CONSTRUCTION MILESTONE

The German automaker Audi, a sister company in the Volkswagen Group, celebrated the construction of its e-gas plant in Werlte in December with a topping-out ceremony. When the plant officially opens in mid-2013, Audi will become the first automaker to build a production plant for sustainable fuels. The end products will be hydrogen and synthetic natural gas, called Audi e-gas, which will be used as a transportation fuel for vehicles, such as the new Audi A3 Sportback TCNG.
