Unwasted energy

Energy recovery is about extracting the value of materials where good quality recyclate or compost have already been removed, if it cannot be prevented, reused or refurbished. Energy can be generated from waste using a variety of facilities, including: 1. Incineration (combustion) 2. Pyrolysis 3. Gasification 4. Anaerobic digestion 5. Landfill gas recovery. Each of these produce products that can be used to generate electricity as well as other products unique to the process, all of which can have other uses. For anyone unfamiliar with energy from waste, this is a brief overview of the basics for each.
