DETR CONSULTATION ON THE REVIEW OF SPECIAL WASTE REGULATIONS

The DETR in its recent consultation paper on the review of the special waste regulations is proposing a number of significant changes to the Special Waste Regulations 1996 ("SWR"). The consultation period expires on 22nd June but a further consultation is proposed in the summer. Given the date of this consultation, there will be precious little time left to conduct the second consultation.
