When I told a colleague of mine that I was to interview Ray Georgeson whilst down in Torbay, and that I would be looking back on his time with WRAP ahead of his imminent departure from the organisation, I was told that between them he and Jennie Price had "created a blueprint for WRAP on the back of a fag packet". I put this notion to the man himself during our chat and the idea drew a chuckle. "I'm not a smoker so there wasn't a fag packet there at the time," he laughed, "but it wasn't too far removed from that!" There probably couldn't have been a better time lo talk to Ray Ceorgeson. It was the day of the launch of WRAP'S latest Business Plan, which was essentially his last job for the organisation, and just a fortnight ahead of his departure. I was faced with a man that clearly cared deeply about what WRAP had achieved (and would go on to achieve) and spoke enthusiastically about founding the organisation and helping it grow and develop, but who was also obviously relaxed, happy and looking forward to his future.
