Slouch Waste carrier DS Holdings Ltd, trading as Envirogreen, was ordered by Bracknell Magistrates' Court to pay a total of more than £52 000 after causing a pollution incident that wiped out virtually all the fish in the Chalvey Ditch, a tributary of the River Thames. The company, and director Neil Stewart, pleaded guilty to offences under the Water Resources Act 1991, Environmental Permitting (England & Wales) Regulations 2007, and the Hazardous Waste (England and Wastes) Regulations 2005.
