Charity shops are little gems hidden away on our high streets. Staffed by dedicated managers and a handful of willing volunteers these shops are vital to big charities and the people they assist. However, the shops have also been known to be used as dumping grounds for people's rubbish.rnBlack bin liners laden with donations are dropped off daily, many offering little content suitable for resale. These unwanted goods are usually sent to the "dump" at extra cost to the charity and the environment. But thanks to an innovative new partnership, one charity has been able to grant these items a new lease of life in places as far afield as Africa and India.
