fifty years ago the institution's journal, Public Cleansing, as it was then, celebrated its fiftieth year. It was a very low-key affair, almost an afterthought according to the Editorial Reflections column: "...nothingstands still as time marches on, the people and ideas which lack vitality or inspiration have their brief airing and are quickly forgotten, history foreshortening the crowded years.
