The headline says it all, but WRAP'S director of local government services, Phillip Ward, is to retire from his role at the end of March 2011. He has been with WRAP since 2004 and is also an executive director on its main board. His retirement is timed to tie-in with the conclusion of WRAP'S current business plan. THE DESIGN of a new €130m waste-to-energy plant by MWH in Meath, Ireland, was selected as winner of the "special recognition award" in the "sustaining our environment" category at Amsterdam's recent Be Inspired Thought Leadership Infrastructure event.
