Due to print deadlines this is the first time we have had the opportunity to print anything on the outcome of the Comprehensive Spending Review, so in review of the Review: 1.Defra announced a 29 percent reduction in resource spending and 34 percent reduction in capital spending 2.funding for seven waste PFI projects has been withdrawn, which will save ￡3m by 2014/15 - the seven projects are considered no longer needed to meet the 2020 landfill diversion targets 3.
