The Latest municipal waste management statistics for Northern Ireland have been announced for the period January to March 2010. They show that the total proportion of municipal waste sent for recycling and composting in the quarter was 29 percent, up just 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year. The total percentage of household waste sent for recycling and composting was 30.8 percent and this represents a 0.2 percent increase on last year's figures.
