Having launched my presidential year with a strong focus on the challenges around waste infrastructure provision, future arisings and capacity needs and data, I was delighted to hear recently that the Green Investment Bank will be carrying out its own research in this area. The CIWM report I was holding up at my inauguration was carried out by Ricardo-AEA and looked at commercial and industrial (C&I) waste infrastructure needs. Bringing together all the available C&I data from across the UK and Ireland, the research attempted to forecast future arisings and capacity, and it came up with a number of important findings.
