This SIG has representation from all sectors of healthcare waste management. There are industry representatives from the treatment and collection of healthcare waste, as well as consultants, academics, regulators and Government employees. Some of the issues discussed by the group include pre-acceptance waste audits, dual coding and HTM 07-01 (the main guidance document for healthcare waste professionals).
