Working Flat Out

South Bucks is a relatively small, rural and affluent district, yet almost 20 percent of the 28,150 properties are classed as "flats", a number which is only going to increase. Most of these properties are low to mid-rise blocks, maisonettes or flats above shops, and although we might not have the numbers of high-rise properties our more urban neighbours have, we still encounter the same problems faced by all - poor participation and high contamination rates due to high turnover, language barriers, lack of storage space, access issues and the difficulty of getting property managers and residents on board.
