It was back at the beginning of 2013 when MVO revealed that Manitou was planning to launch a MLT960 telescopic handler with enhanced capability to deal with more arduous waste handling work. Now, after over three years of development, that specialised uprated waste-spec machine has been launched and one of the first to arrive in the UK is busy proving its worth at a busy composting plant down in Devon. Amongst the distinctive bright-red Manitou telehandlers that have already made their mark in our sector, is the MLT845.This sturdy 91 kW (122hp) machine is capable of moving up to 4,500kg whilst providing a maximum lift height of 7.55m.The problem? Compared to competitive brands, its cab was looking dated and some customers were seeking greater capacity.
