Nachhaltiges Handeln und Gestalten gehört gegenwärtig zu den wesentlichen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen. Der nachfolgende Beitrag stellt den aktuellen Stand der Diskussion und Forschung zur Ausgestaltung von nachhaltigen Infrastrukturbauwerken dar. Es werden die aktuellen Entwicklungen im Rahmen der Forschungstätigkeit auf diesem Gebiet vorgestellt und erste Erfahrungen aus der Nachhaltigkeitsoptimierung von Infrastrukturbauwerken präsentiert. Ein Ausblick stellt die zukünftigen Perspektiven und Chancen der weiteren Fokussierung des Themenschwerpunktes Nachhaltigkeit im Infrastrukturbau dar.%Sustainable action and construction are currently an essential social challenge. The following article shows the current status of the discussion and research for the assessment of the sus-tainability of infrastructure constructions. It will present the content of the first assessment system of the ecological, economic and social-functional quality of infrastructure construction and first experience of the sustainable optimization. An outlook shows the future perspective and chances of the further focusing of the thematic focus of sustainable infrastructure construction.
