At 1,800 m, Sweden's Hoega Kusten (High Coast) suspension bridge is one of the world's longest. Completed in the autumn of 1997, it crosses the Angerman River in one of northern Sweden's most scenic areas. Its main span of 1,210 m is flanked by side spans of 310 m and 280 m, and the bridge's superstructure has a width of 17.8 m.
